beautiful imperfection

all i've ever wanted and don't call me lame
but all i've ever wanted was a perfect name...

the name that only god knows, eternally
will it make me like you? like them all?
little x's on my fingers, will i live eternally?
come with me, let us go to god, we will surely crawl

cause all i've ever wanted was a perfect name
it's all i've ever wanted, and don't call me lame...

what is this imperfection?
it is me, and i'm without
salvation...
imperfection is perfected
in me...

This is the unspoken utterance of every human heart - a longing for perfection and a knowledge of failure in themselves. this poem takes it to where it has to go - God.

Fragile wonderings, but strength comings because she dares to say.

What could possibly be lame about that? This is totally true for me too, to want to have a perfect name. But we can't change anything we've done, and that's why God sent His Son to die for us because He knew that on our own power we would have no hope. But we have hope in Jesus Christ!! Praise God...
